Hello Friends,
It has been a very rewarding summer! The Kids have really enjoyed the program. Kelcie has had tons of fun with all his friends at Kelcie’s Place he doesn’t want the summer fun to end. I do have other children in the program and of my own which means I have lots of Kids! Some of the ones in the summer program are Darryl, Shaq, KeKe, Jamie, (sister Jessica) Oneal, Devante’, DeAnte’, Chris, and Brittani. Aniya is my daughter who has helped out for most of the program. She and her counter part Jessica are Kelcie’s Place helping hands assisting us with everything from reading to dancing with the kids. She wanted to go to another recreational program at first but after working with the children and going on ALL the field trips she decided to help us to the end. Aniya has gifts and talents in her own right and as a parent of a child with autism it is easy to lose site of the other children in your household but Aniya makes her presence very well known in our household. I try to remember their individuality but train her as well to respect and care for her brother. It is a balancing act to juggle so many things in both of my kids schedule but aniya makes it easy like her dad she is a thinker and she choose her opportunities wisely. I was so proud of her when she chose not only to stay and help her brother but all the kids in the program. Aniya this blog is to recognize you as the littlest engine that could at Kelcie’s Place. Love Mommy
I will try to blog at the end of the program next week. please donate this week we want to really bless the famlies at Kelcie’s Place.(mailing address on home page)
God Bless

What a week!! We have truly been blessed this week to have the endorsement of Ben Grubbs and to have Pastor Kee praying for kelcie’s Place!! we started off the week with activities including horseback riding, basketball, bowling, going to the movie and daily library trips!! The next week will be just as active with another set of trips to different locations! We are developing social learning skills with the children which will benefit them throughout their lifetime. We are in need of funds first to get insurance, gas, upkeep and finally the van which will be driven by a CDL driver!!(need volunteer) We want to thank Ben for recognizing the need for services provided by Kelcie’s Place Inc. We also want to thank his mom and the lovely young lady “Z” who is a remarkable young lady. We will have car washes and other fund raisers to help us reach our goal. The goal is reachable with support from the entire community!! If you want to see Kelcie’s Kid’s in a van please contribute to the other needs that lead up to the van. We saw a van at Montgomery Ford which would be ideal so to help the cause please go by and ask them about donating to Kelcie’s Place Inc. Well it is late and another week awaits.
Be Blessed!!!

Hello Friends,
This morning while in my prayer time, yes I pray always to me prayer is essential to what I do in life. Prayer helps me focus in on what is really important in life. I was just in a quiet space this morning and through prayer it came to me to just tell you a little of my journey with Kelcie’s Place. We have my bio on the founder’s letter but I want to share as God has directed me to share. I have never put this out there but I believe God for everything in my life from my walk with him(the Lord Jesus) which has not all been perfect but we communicate very well. I believed God for my relationship with my husband, kids, friends, family members, and even enemies.(God says to bless those that curse you) I said all that to say that I believe God for Kelcie’s Place, I always think of us at Kelcie’s Place as the “little engine that could” we have started off slow but steadily gaining momentum. We are at the place where we are climbing the hump in the train track and we need an extra burst of energy to make it over(crying now emotional for me to say) I do not boast or brag because God gets the credit in my life he has allowed kelcie’s place to blossom even when others counted us out and I give him the praise. I ask God in prayer “lord you have seen every struggle and sacrifice that me and others have made for the sake of the children. You alone know our hearts and you directed me through lots of prayer and wise council to found Kelcie’s Place for the children and Father God I have denied myself and took up my cross now what?” God said through prayer tell them Kelcie’s Place is a labor of love not my(Rosalyn) love for the children which has always been there but his(God’s love )for his children . God said that because of there autism and their age the teens have been overlooked, forgotten misused and misunderstood but through Kelcie’s Place they can be accepted and have place of their own. He has turn around and used me a person who has been a quiet, shy, and overlooked to do this work(he brought me out of my shyness)(smile) and I praise him for that everyday. I truly love and pray for the famlies , volunteers and partners of Kelcie’s Place Inc. they are what God has called not only me but other to contribute time, effort and money too.
God Bless

It has been quite a year just seeing this program open has been a great but there is always a struggle when you do a work for God. Hello Friends!!
I know it has been awhile since my last blog but we have been extremely busy with the opening of the after school program. I would like to thank all our faithful parents, volunteers, and prayer partners for their dedication, love and support of Kelcie’s Place Inc. We would also like to thank so many agencies that are working with us to insure that services get provided to the participants at Kelcie’s Place after school Program.(Montgomery County Schools, TRC, State Rehabilitation Services, and other state and local officials) Our goal is to provide excellent one on one care to all our participants and this could not be done without your support our friends. You might be asking the question. How do you know if I am your friend? Well if you clicked on this web site and viewed this message you are our newest friend. One thing I am learning is that it is good to have friends and that is what keeps Kelcie Place going is its friends. A friend is someone reliable, caring, willing to help in a time of need and at times very truthful and that is why you are our friend. Now that we have established the fact that we are friends let me tell you something as a friend we need you to make your voice heard on behalf of Kelcie’s Place. We are embarking on a David and Goliath Project.(My term) We are currently in need of a donated 15 passenger van to get our children to and from the New Town Community Center. The van along with funding for the van is needed to insure timely service to the participants at Kelcie’s Place, as well as to give our parents the much needed break from driving to and from the center. It would be the best early Christmas gift that Kelcie’s place could receive from you our friends. We are dedicated to becoming friends that communicate regularly so we hope you do too. Please respond to the blog, call ,or write us anytime.

We at Kelcie’s Place want to thank you all for your support during the summer program. It was very rewarding for families and volunteers. I want to mention one person who never wanted to receive one mention or accolade for his contribution to Kelcie’s Place. He has been our number one supporter and contributor since the conception of Kelcie’s Place as a matter of fact without him there would be no Kelcie. I am speaking about my husband Bobby Roper he belileved in the vision that God inspired. I do not discount all our contributors because without your support we cannot do the work God has put before us but I must give honor to whom honor is due. My husband is very humble and he allows me to grow in the areas where I thought would be impossible but we know that there is nothing to hard for God. When I wanted to work devote my energy to Kelcie’s Place he understood what it would take to help put this program together and with his quiet spirit he would let me go and do what is needed to pull the program together. I ask God to continue to bless him (Bobby Roper) for his faithfulness to the program and to our family. To bobby it is an honor and a privilege to be not only your wife but your best friend. Friends we still need your support to continue the work that is so needed for children with autism. Please make contributions to any Compass bank in the name of Kelcie’s Place account. The fall after school program begins soon. Please call 334-819-7970 for more info. We have a new location 1765 N. Decatur, Montgomery, Al 36104. We have a new mailing address P.O. Box 230804, Montgomery, Al 36123.
Thank You All!!
